What do we need to do to get child support?
In West Virginia, child support is the financial
contribution from the non-custodial parent to the custodial parent towards the
expenses of raising the child. Generally child support expenses include the
basic necessities such as food, clothing shelter and medical care.
Every state has individual divorce laws with specific child
support guidelines that are used in calculating how much child support is to be
allocated. While every state has its own child support laws they all take into
consideration the income levels (earned and unearned) of both the parents as
well as the expenses related to raising the child in calculating child support
