NEBRASKA Part 44
CUSTODY OF THE CHILDREN
When a judge has to decide who will have custody of
the children, the judge is supposed to make that decision based upon what is in
the best interests of the children. The judge must decide which parent can, on
a day-to-day basis, best provide for the children. Providing means more than a
house and food. It also means meeting the child's emotional needs and ensuring
that the child grows up happy and healthy.
