NEVADA Part 16

Domestic Violence:

Domestic violence is also a determining issue.  If domestic violence can be established, the victim is presumed to be the better caretaker of the child over the aggressor.  Joint custody is not usually ordered, due to the violence and depending on the threat of harm to the minor child(ren) or possibility of kidnapping, supervised visitation may be ordered.  The court can also set up supervised exchanges of the child or allow third parties to conduct the exchanges.
