2. WHO DECIDES HOW MUCH IS ENOUGH? WHAT IF THE OTHER PARENT AND I CANNOT AGREE ON THE AMOUNT OF CHILD SUPPORT?


If the two of you are able to reach agreement on a sum, that amount should be set out in a separation agreement.If the separation agreement sets out a specific sum, that figure that will be binding.If the parties cannot agree, you may petition the court to set the amount of child support that will be required.
