TENNESSEE Part 95

Step 4:

Tell the judge what happened. Lay out all the facts you remember and tell the judge that you are in fear for your life and need immediate protection. These words are important because they are what allows the judge to grant a Tennessee temporary restraining order (TRO). If you get a temporary order, it will take effect as soon as the abuser is served with the order. That way, you do not have to wait for the hearing to receive protection from the TN restraining order.
