TEXAS Part 3

Many divorces that take place in Texas or any other state involves children. Therefore, a divorce in Texas involving children requires that you will do anything you can to come to an agreement before that comes before the judge. You have to each sign a written agreement between the mother and father. Each party must agree. Then the judge will look over, decide if this is fair to both parties, and make a final decision. If the judge decides that the agreement is not in the best interest of the child, then another agreement must be met and agreed upon until the judge agrees. If you have children who are 12 or older, than the court may ask the child or children what they would like to do.
