They point to successes, including a woman who was initially
awarded $285 a month in family court, despite earning $70,000 a year less than
her husband. After filing for divorce, she was awarded monthly payments of more
than $2,000 under the new formula.
Sondra Miller, a former judge who now works as a lawyer and
