"Frankly, that group is holding us up," said
Westchester Assemblywoman Amy Paulin, the primary sponsor of the alimony law.
She added that she thinks the new law is "better for women. But we do want
to make it fair, and we do want to respect everyone involved."
"You don't want to have to revise it a third
time," she added. "You want to get all the problems once."
